Our Environmental Policy

At Broadgate Farm we are committed to providing a good quality service whilst minimising the environmental impact of our activities.

An example of this commitment is our membership of the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

We welcome support, participation, and suggestions from you our customers as to how we can improve our environmental policy and protect the environment and increase the enjoyment of your stay.

The scheme provides accreditation and encouragement for sustainable tourism, ensuring the continued enjoyment of the environment around us for future generations.

You will stay on a farm managed for wildlife in accommodation designed for sustainable tourism, locally sourced materials and contractors, private water supply.

We work closely with the RSPB, and other conservation organisations to maintain and improve wildlife habitats on our land. In particular to increase wading bird to enhance biodiversity.

For full details of all the on farm work we have done please see our Broadgate Farm page.

Our blog along with blogs from other GTBS members, forms part of www.lancashirewildlife.org.uk wildlife news website.
